In today's satellite technology, transportable earth stations are one of the more interesting applications of all satellite technology. Stations designed and built by Applied Telecommunications using state of the art satellite technology may include two to five meter antennas operating in any frequency. Truck types used for transportable satellite technology are selected based on the end user country, and include electrical generators, lighting and hydraulics. System electronics are housed in an air-conditioned equipment room located directly behind the driver's cabin. The system electronics can be installed in conventional racks or in removable transit cases.

As customers have different operating requirements, transportable earth stations require detailed, customized configurations, and can be built to fit almost any satellite technology operating requirement.
